Rev. Lynne Donovan (She/Her)
Theologian in Residence
Lynne arrived at St. Andrew’s in 2007 with a mandate to lead the congregation in re-imagining their vision and mission for the 21st century. This vision, while groundbreaking, was rooted in the wisdom of Jesus, the teacher, mystic, and prophet. Her theological mentors are Matthew Fox, John Dominic Crossan and John Bell of the Iona community. She is inspired by the poetry of Mary Oliver and David Whyte, the blessings of John O’Donohue and Jan Richardson, and the vision and courage of Hildegard of Bingen and Catherine of Siena.
What makes her heart sing? Laughter and friends; Celtic music and kitchen dancing; cardinals singing from the treetops and beach walks; yoga, and golfing with her siblings and oh so much more!!!
If you are curious about the post-Christendom vision of the Circle of Friends, she’d love to chat.
(Interested in further connecting with the Celtic Christian tradition? I recommend reading John Philip Newell and Christine Valtners Paintner.)

Anita Barnes (She/Her)
Community Engagement Coordinator
Anita worked in community mental health for 32 years in Toronto and retired from this career in 2019 and moved to Picton. While in Toronto, she was the key player in implementing three successful pilot projects, including Canada's first mental health court, where she was the Program Manager. She also worked in homeless shelters, street outreach, harm reduction, and a legal aid clinic.
She has taught yoga and meditation for 25 years and has a small yoga studio in Picton where she lives with her husband Ben and fur babies Peggy and Molly.

Janice
Janice is a retired educator with a love for travelling and photography. When not traipsing around the globe, she tries to keep things running smoothly as the office manager and general Girl Friday at St. Andrew’s. (The rumour is not true that she keeps a sleeping bag in the loft.)
